Info

Kenkashi is a small, three-person organization based in the Virginia mountains led by John Wilson, an ex-pat obsessed with the perfect soil additive. After discovering the benefits of microbes, John dedicated his career to creating a formula that would cleanly and easily facilitate odor-free composting and flourishing plant growth. John came to us to help define his path forward — acting as a partner to not only form the brand and website, but link up with him to help the company understand exactly what about this miracle compound can be marketable and enticing to customers from all walks of life.

Together, we formulated a brand that at once feels unique and familiar; a system flush with organic colors and stringent grids reminiscent of old manufacturing labels. We worked with John to concept the packaging — a simple sticker on top of a 100% recyclable bag — and launch a website showcasing approachable photography from our friend Tyler Phenes.

Our work with Kenkashi is ongoing, as we continue to hone in on what makes the product special and push towards an e-commerce store later in 2019.
